New Smyrna Beach is a great vacation getaway any time of the year, but especially during the wintertime to escape any cold weather back at home.
Even so, swimming at the beach is probably off the list of things to do if youâre on vacation during the winter since the water cools down.
But there are still plenty of things you can check out that are near your New Smyrna Beach ocean view rentals. Weâve come up with a list of some of the top activities for a winter visit to New Smyrna Beach.
Visit the New Smyrna Beach Parks
There are several area parks that are always fun to check out for the day. Smyrna Dunes Park, Flagler Avenue Park, and 27th Avenue Park are all excellent options within a close distance to the vacation rentals in the area.
Smyrna Dunes Park is on North Peninsula Ave and is open from sunrise to sunset daily. It is $10 per vehicle to get in, and is an ideal place to head to if youâre searching for outdoor activities.
Surrounded on three sides by water, the park is the place to check out the natural habitats of animals in the area, do some fishing, or even take a short walk or hike.
Take two miles of an elevated walkway to see the protected sand dunes here and observe the beautiful natural environment. There are also several nature trails, fishing spots, and even an observation tower.
