Beautiful location, beautifully decorated condo. The best equipped condo I've ever stayed in. Kitchen equipment was amazing, lots of beach towels, large selection of beach stuff (umbrella, chairs, kids toys, cooler etc). All sorts of starter items (soap, coffee filters, paper towels, TP, etc). Lovely view from the balcony. We were there a couple of weeks after Hurricane Milton. Beach stairs were gone, but you could easily access the beach from the 27th Ave park right next door. Pool was too cool for me to swim in! Not sure the pool heat was on. Condo is close to everything and if you're a good walker, you can walk to Flagler Ave or Bethune Beach. New Smyrna Beach is a quiet, friendly, slow paced community. Normally a beautiful beach, this year it was covered in sargassum, a direct result of the hurricane. Highly recommend this unit and the complex.

This condo is so nicely decorated and updated! In fact, the living area pics need to be updated as patio door curtains have been added and it looks slightly different although the furniture is the same. We loved the beachy theme but it wasn't over the top. When we had too much sun, we sat on our cool shaded balcony and enjoyed the ocean view. Being on the no-drive beach was so much better than I thought it would be! The on-site property manager Chaz was so responsive with the few small issues we had. I would love to book this condo again!

This place really felt like a second home, it was absolutely beautiful. There was so much to do in between relaxing at the pool or walking down the stairs to the beach. It was in the perfect location, surrounded by lots of great restaurants as well. I hope to stay in unit 213 again very soon :)

This condo was stunning. Not only was it furnished beautifully, but it had everything we could need for our week at the beach. The kitchen was well stocked and so clean. The unit had beach chairs umbrella and a drying rack. The views were great! I had question about laundry and the blind and the property manager got back to me promptly and resolved the issues.

Several friends and I rented this property to get away from a long, cold Winter. The unit was very clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked amd the furntiure was comfortable. It has a Great courtyard amd ocean view. The property is gated so it wasn’t too crowded at the beach.

My wife and I were very impressed as we entered the beautifully decorated condo we had rented for our vacation in New Smyrna beach. A stunning view of the ocean was visible from every room, and sunsets from the fully furnished kitchen. The condo was very clean with full kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Tv,s were in the living room and both bedrooms. People were very friendly and the organized events enjoyable. From breakfast buffet every tuesday, to ice cream socials and italian night every other week. We made many friends during our stay and are planning to return next year.

Wow! We had such a great, memorable vacation! A big factor in my decision to stay at Dottie's Beach Retreat was the many, many positive reviews, and I'm glad I did! Our family were booked in for a four night stay at the lovely beach retreat - but unfortunately due to Hurricabe Matthew - were only able to stay one night before we evacuated. Of course being from Australia - this was a stressful time forbid - and Peggy was of great help and readily available to answer questions and help us! The condo is just amazing. Great facilities - huge space in the bedrooms, wonderful views and outlook. We were very sorry that we could only stay one night - and we sincerely hope the apartment is ok in this huge storm! This was THE BEST! vacation I have ever experienced and I would like to thank Peggy Malone for her wonderful hospitality. This is the perfect location for a vacation. Dottie's Retreat was an amazing place. This was our 14th year at NSB and our first at Dottie's at Pointe East condos. The condo was immaculate, everything you would need was provided. All you need is your swim trunks and you are going to have the time of your life. The courtyard was beautiful the pavilion was so spacious and always a gathering place for all the people vacationing there. The grill area was very well maintain and the view from the balcony was breath taking. the condo was very large and plenty of room for myself and my family. Very well maintained and clean and neat and decorated to enhance the feel of being at the beach. I can't wait to get back to Dottie's as soon as possible. The Ocean View ! ?? It was our first time to New Smyrna Beach. This was the perfect place to stay! Very clean and comfortable. This unit is very spacious and had everything we could want. One trip to the nearby grocery store, and we were were set for breakfasts, lunches and snacks. Lots of excellent restaurant choices close by also. The beach right in front of Point East is a "no drive" area which is great! But when we did want to take our Dad for a drive on the beach, it was right next door- very nice and close. We took in a River Boat ride on the Indian River in town- saw lots of Dolphins!, a Airboat ride- saw lots of Alligators! (several rides offered in neighboring towns), shopped at Flagler Ave shops, and even went to Daytona Beach for the Flea Market. All this, and still spent lots of quality time at the pool and on the Ocean beach! The Beach is Pristine! Beautiful white sand, with no seaweed or jellyfish. We all had a wonderful time! What a way to spend Christmas! It was our home away from home for 8 nights and it was well worth the 18 hour drive! We loved being so close to the beach and the pool was refreshing after the ocean. We could not have asked for better weather, 80 degrees every day! The condo was loaded with everything we needed to enjoy the stay. The courtyard area was our favorite!

The unit was very clean and comfortable. The decor was inviting and very "beachy". The kitchen was well equipped. Great view of the pool and the ocean. The pool is very large and quite nice. A nice cool off after being in the ocean all day. The owner is awesome and very in-touch with tenants. All and all, for the price that we paid to stay in this unit and all the amenities that come with it, I would say it was the best deal we have received in a long time. You won't be disappointed.

I absolutely LOVE this unit. Everything is so clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. I know where the saying, "just bring your toothbrush" comes from. I have stayed in this unit many, many times, as it is my very favorite one!!! I have friends visit me while I'm staying there, and they also are extremely impressed with how beautiful, comfortable (including beds), and well-equipped this unit is. The kitchen is a cook's dream...there is everything anyone could want...we even found a cheese slicer!! And renters are so considerate...leaving paper supplies, spices, and other things for the next renters. I could go on and on...this place really feels like home!!

My family of four had a wonderful stay at Dottie's Beach Retreat in June 2015. The property and condo are well kept/maintained and very clean. The owner clearly takes pride in the unit and it shows from the well stocked kitchen (they didn't forget anything! You could cook and bake for days with all the pots, pans and bakeware), extra linens, beach towels, small gas grill, drying rack, etc. Not to mention the beds are comfortable and there is lots of hot water. The owner communicates well, is attentive and prompt. Beach and pool access is easy, not crowded and clean. Also, there were a few beach chairs in the 2nd bedroom closet that came in handy when we forgot ours! Excellent trip! We will be back!

I have been coming down to Point East Condo for at least 15 years or more, have stayed in about 5 or 6 different units, depending on availability. This unit is my absolute favorite and I have stayed in it for at least 8 years...and always book at least a year ahead to make sure I get it. The decor is comfortable, cozy, very clean, and beachy...with plenty of room for 6 people. The photos are spot on!! The unit is fully stocked with everything you can imagine...appliances, cookware, storage space, linens, books, puzzles, TVs, etc. It has a direct view of the pool, ocean, and gorgeous sunrises....one of the best views in the entire complex!!! Since finding this unit, I won't stay anywhere else!! I would recommend this property!!!

I spent two weeks at this beach retreat with my friend and we had a blast. So many activities, great restaurants, yet serene and peaceful at the same time. Sunrise on this beach is heavenly. This unit was so clean and beachy feeling. It had all the comforts of home, and then some! The owners have thought of everything from kitchen utensils and cookware to books, puzzles, music and TV. The bright pastel color scheme fit right at the beach. You can see the ocean standing anywhere in this unit, except from the guest bedroom which has a sunset view. I could have stayed for another two weeks or more. The photos were spot on and the description and location accurate. We really appreciated the guest book in the unit which listed recommended restaurants and activities. All the manuals to the TVs and appliances were there so we had no problem operating anything. There is an on-site manager here which helps if you have small problems (which we didn't) like a leaky faucet or toilet. Issues can be handled immediately. The grounds of this property were also well groomed and green; I really cannot find anything to complain about. Will definitely return to this property.

My husband and I have stayed at this lovely property on several occasions and each time it has been so relaxing. The fall is our favorite time (although May is a close second) because the humidity is gone as are the crowds! New Smyrna is a bedroom beach community and the residents are so friendly. This unit is appointed in such good taste and has a "beach" theme that helps you enjoy the surroundings. The owners are always so pleasant and accommodating and tend to our every need. We look forward to returning soon!

Boy, the family had a great time. The condo was well maintained and stocked with everything we needed...all the way to beach items for the kids to use. The pool and beach we're beautiful and everyone was friendly. We meet several families we hung out with and the kids made friends as well. The unit itself must have been recently renovated and "felt" like Florida and the location was perfect for a great view of the pool and ocean. Even the community of NSB turned out to be filled with things to do......what a great beach town with great places to eat. We will definately be back!

My family and I have rented this unit numerous times. We have always found this unit to be very clean, comfortable and quiet. The view from the living/kitchen area reveals a beautiful lawn in the foreground, and a awesome pool and beach in the background. We love to sit on the balcony and enjoy this view. The beach is level and contains pretty white sand. Autos are prohibited on the beach which really makes it nice if your party includes small children. This unit is located minutes from some of the finest seafood restaurants. If you like to cook, Publix supermarket is only 5 minutes away. I would certainly recommend this unit to anyone. You will not be disappointed !
